Amy grew up with little to no athletic background. She was 30 years old, had started a company and found herself over 100 lbs overweight and determined enough is enough. In 2008, Amy began her weight loss journey with the goal of becoming healthier and a good role model for her two girls (now entering their teen years). CrossFit has helped Amy become a fitter, stronger and happier person.
How had CrossFit impacted your life?
CrossFit has helped me become even more goal oriented and realized I am stronger than I think I am.
What’s your favorite and least favorite workout?
Grace is probably my favorite, short and sweet.
Fran is my least favorite.
What do you do besides CrossFit?
I run a consulting business and do work with the Federal Government. In my spare time I am training in Tai Jitsu and help as an instructor. I am also a member of the Rotary Club of Potomac. I also help maintain the CFDR web site. During the rest of my time I spend with my family.
