CFDR Yoga comes back tomorrow at 11:30am!  Before you head to class, I wanted to help you guys get to know our resident yoga instructor a little better.  Here’s a little bit of background information on Bretton Keating…

Bretton began practicing yoga while attending high school in the DC area, as a complement to other athletic endeavors, primarily dance and running. In college, she took her first Baptiste Power Vinyasa class. From the beginning, she was hooked, as she noticed after practicing she felt great physically and her days just seemed a little brighter. Energetic, enthusiastic, and upbeat, Bretton strives to create an atmosphere for her students in which they too can discover that brightness from yoga. Frequently acknowledged by her teachers for having a giant smile across her face while on her mat, Bretton attributes that smile to her love of the practice and the impact it has had on her life. Yoga has given her the ability to step outside of mental limitations, let go of expectations, and show up fully both on and off the mat.  She completed her 200-hour teacher training through Down Dog Yoga in 2012 and has done many workshops and trainings, including intensives focused on assisting through hands-on adjustments. Through integration of breathwork and body movement, Bretton’s classes are designed to enable her students to develop a deeper understanding of their physical bodies. Connecting physical awareness with yoga fundamentals such as principles of alignment and core stability, Bretton’s mission is to help her students maximize their potential to move with freedom and ease.
