The Thursday Tumbling Skills Class has been changed to an O-lifting class. This means we now have two Olympic lifting classes during the week, Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM.
These Olympic Lifting classes are not just 6o minutes of moving a PVC around (though in my opinion that would be great). The Tuesday session is dedicated to moving heavy weights. We’ll get a warm-up in working the skill with a PVC or light bar and proceed to work up to weights anywhere above 80% of your 1 RM. The goal of the Tuesday session is to get you guys comfortable moving heavy weights in the classic O-lifts.
The Thursday session will be our “Dynamic” Day. For the Thursday sessions we are working on increasing your explosive strength. There will be a lot of Power Snatches, Power Cleans, Clean Pulls, Snatch Pulls, etc and bands to accommodate resistance in all these different movements.
So if you feel like your O-lifts are lacking behind your other lifts, you want to improve your explosive power, or you just want to come get some extra work in, check out the Tuesday and Thursday night O-lifting classes.
