Favorite WOD? “Crossfit Football Total” (1 Rep Max of the following: Power Clean, Back Squat,
Bench Press, & Deadlift)… I’m still waiting for it to be our WOD. Think about it, Justin… it will
Least Fav WOD? Anything with my long-time nemesis: THE JUMP ROPE!
Sport and Fitness background? I played football from elementary school until I finished my
undergrad. I also did a year of rowing during my 1st year of undergrad.
How did you get exposed to CrossFit? I heard about it from my friend Harris Kashtan, the pride
of the US Air Force and our resident fitness god.
Tell us about your first WOD? I don’t remember what it was exactly, but I remember that
during our first week at the 101 classes, Rob told me I should stop eating pasta because it
wasn’t “paleo”. Ha! It’s a good thing I liked CrossFit, or I may have never come back.
What changes have you noticed since starting CrossFit? I think I’ve definitely become much
more balanced as far as strength, speed, and endurance are concerned. Of course, I still try to
sneak in a day of old-fashioned lifting here and there… old habits die hard.
What’s your favorite CrossFit/CFDR experience or memory? Doing “Murph” for the WOD on
Memorial Day 2011 in my boots and pants.
Advice for a beginner? There are only two things you need to remember…
