Hip extension is critical to all movement, specially explosive movement.  If you want to be faster or more power, which is key to any sport you play, than you need powerful hips.  The Olympics lifts (Clean and Jerk, Snatch) help to develop explosive power in the hips.  That power will transfer into other activities you do.  You’ll need powerful hips to set a good time on today’s hill runs.



Zach, great extension of the hips, but he is pulling with his arms to early causing him to lose some power on his squat clean.
