Congratulation to Jay and Natalie winners of our first annual Lean-Back Challenge.


The challenge helped me quite a bit. Beginning when it was first announced it gave me a focus to my weight loss efforts. Then once the challenge officially started I was already on my way and I began to see the results right away. I lost some weight, though I’ve still got a ways to go, and I’m beginning to feel like I’m getting back some fitness. The journaling definitely helped. It made me a lot more mindful of what I was eating.

This challenge became more than just weight loss for me. It’s become more about being healthy. Going Paleo helped me to see food in a very different way. I’ve got a lot to sort out yet, but it’s been a real education for me. I really appreciate the discussions that took place on the list and the discussions I had with Rob and Justin.

Awesome job to everyone who took part in the challenge.  All the challengers who turned in their after photos made significant changes in the body composition.  We received lots of positive feedback on how much the challenge helped people and along the way there was a lot of great discussion about all things diet/nutrition on our Lean-Back Google Group.    From the feed back we received, it seems that the food journaling, although sometimes a pain, was a resourceful tool that help people realize just what and how much they were actually eating.
